Ladies

I am suffering recently from problems in my shoulders as well as my fingers / hands. Nothing unusual there you may say, but my problem is I am unable to fasten my bra! Being a larger lady shall we say, there is no option to go without, and I know I can't be the only one with this problem. Any ideas out there??

Help save my blushes.Blushing

Thanks

Adrienne

Hi Adrienne

I don't know if you can manage it, but I fasten mine at the front then twist it round into position. Then slide my arms in - bad shoulder first, then the other one.

There are some sports ones, but they tend to have to go over the head; which if you have shoulder problems like I do, then that is not an option.

hi,
my mum used to buy sloggy bra's they are like sports bras but easier to put on, it is over the head but she had bad arms and shoulders but seemed to find these the best.

Oh Adrienne - I understand EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL!!! If you have bad hands/fingers you will find front fastening bras almost impossible (I tried several). I ended up with an over the head job, but it was so so difficult to pull it down and stuff everything in, if you get my driftRollEyes. In the past I have seen an Arthritis Bra with velcro fastening advertised, or, if you are good with a needle and thread, how about sewing some velcro over the closures on your bra? I chickened out in the end and get my other half to do it for me!

Hope to see you are the Bolton Support Group one day.

Not sure Velcro would be strong enough for my svelte body!!!!!!!
I also find on bad days, doing it up at the back and swivelling (my preferred method) very hard, as I do not have strength in either my hands or shoulders to perform the necessary manoeuvres! Wish there was a 'magic' answer

I thought the same Jean and they could cause more problems i.e. back problems if you don't have enough support.

Hi Julia,

There is nothing worse than NOT being able to manage, but like everyone else when I was ill, I could not move my right arm or hardly lift my left one and I was in pain everywhere. I had to get my husband to help me otherwise I would not have managed.

Hope you have someone to help you.

Take Care Lorna x Smile

Thanks Lorna for your kind thoughts.

I do have to manage on my own, it has always been very painful but easier in recent days as the Cimzia drug have improved these joints a great deal. I think we all get a bit immuned to pain with RA and have a much better tolerance as well. Good to know you are doing reasonably well, take care.

Julia xx

Apparently 82% of people who have bought them think they are a waste of money. A few comments below:

Like a lot of the other reviewers, I eagerly awaited the arrival of my new “super comfortable” bras. In NZ, 3 bras cost $120 NZ dollars but come with a 30 day money back guarantee. It was a lot of money but I thought it was worth trying. The fabric is very thin and I hate the nipple see-through. It does ride up and it doesn’t give the best shape. Very misleading – I am not sure how they rigged the ads to make it look so good. Back in the post they go!

No - Not an Ahh Bra

I purchased the pack of these Ahh Bras and I agree with all the other posts, there is no support and they are really thin. It wasn’t till I actually sat and watched the infomercial today and held up my Ahh Bra and realised that the ones they are advertising on the models are a thicker material and the product that is being dispatched to us is an inferior quality and much thinner. False advetising is the word here. Also why do they have to give you two free Ahh Bras, its because they are not worth the price tag they have on the one to start with.

No - Bad

Worse bra I’ve had on. Rolls up no support and I’m a c cup. Flattens you out.

Yes - Happy with lift and i'm a 34DD

Although I do agree with a lot of the comments on here (It is thin, you can see nipples and the lift is not what I hoped for) I am happy with the product. It is comfortable and provides enough lift so my bust does not look saggy in clothes. I shall buy again :)

No - I wish I could have given it a zero rating

I am often up late at night and have seen the imfomercial often. Well, let me tell you, it is full of BS. I am a 42 DD and pay a lot of money for bras that make me look good but are uncomfortable. I bought this a Walmart thinking that they would not sell a product that lies on TV. They do!

This did nothing they claimed. I just looked like I was wearing someone elses sports bra. All flat and squishy and droopy. I could never go outside the house looking like this!!!! The TV commercials are full of crap! Do not waste your money on this. Just buy a tube top for the same look!

No - No Support!

This was hugely disappointing! It is very thin and sort of transparent. But basically it flattens you out like a sports bra minus any support. I hope I don’t ever have to walk too fast while wearing it. I’m only a C, so this shouldn’t be an issue. It’s comfortable because it’s basically like not wearing a bra at all. I’ll just wear it around the house I guess.

No - I look better bra-less.

First things first, I bought it at a Rite Aid drug store for $19.99 +tax. I put it on and first thought that came to mind is “wow!
There’s a reason why on the infomercial they start stacking 2 or 3 bras on top of each other, because one gives no support whatsoever. Also, you can see through them. If you have perky breasts and only need “a little” support, go for it. But if you have breasts that sag, believe me they’ll just be saggy breasts in sling. The only thing they’re good for is sleeping in or if I’m just home alone and cleaning or watching TV. I could never wear it outside of the house or if I had company. They suck. Save your $.
